What are Link Leaders?
Link Leaders are upperclassmen who help freshmen transition to high school. Link Leaders also serve as mentors for freshmen and help ensure they become successful and involved high school students. Link Leaders train over the summer, and then welcome their freshmen Link Crew on the first day of school during freshmen orientation. During orientation, Link Leaders lead a small group of students through team-building and character building activities. They also share "words of wisdom," give a school tour, and welcome them to the school. Throughout the school year, Link Leaders meet with their Link Crew for follow-ups and to develop other valuable skills for high school success.

The characteristics of an effective Link Leader include reliable, trustworthy, honest, hard-working, creative, and motivated. Being a Link Leader is a yearlong commitment to your Link Crew. Link Leaders will meet during SSR times (and possibly lunch) to plan and meet with Link Crews.
